Farfalla, purchased January 20, 2004, is the only non-Bally/Williams game in my collection to this point. Farfalla was manufactured by Italian pinball company Zaccaria in 1983. It has a unique ruleset and some interesting features, many of which were ahead of their time. The playfield artwork looks like someone's acid trip which adds to the overall theme and feel of the game. Most people love it or hate it, I happen to enjoy it. It has drop targets galore, up/down ramp, upper playfield, and "ball save" mini-flippers in the outlanes. Game play reminds me a lot of the classic Bally era of 1980-1981.
Unfortunately my Farfalla is only a cabinet and playfield at this time. What's there though is in excellent shape and appears to have been on location only for a short period of time. Playfield is clean and sharp with no wear, cabinet is straight with only minimal scrapes/scuffs, underside of playfield and inside of cabinet is extra clean.
While I look for the backbox, backglass (one version of which is very revealing), and boardset, pictures of what I have so far are below. Click the thumbnails to see a full picture, use the back arrow to return to this page.
